The delicious milky-gel texture provides a luxurious and calming cleansing experience without leaving the skin feeling tight. We use a unique cleansing agent (Glycolipids) that has clinically been shown to be safe to use on blemish-prone skin and does not sting the eyes, all whilst thoroughly cleansing the skin.

Red Algae and Aloe Vera help to replenish and hydrate the skin whilst, Hemp Seed Oil and Prebiotics nourish the skin barrier, without leaving any residue.

HOW TO USE
Morning and night take a dime-sized amount of the cleanser and massage gently into the dry skin for about 30-40 seconds. Use tepid water to rinse and gently pat dry to finish. When wearing make-up double cleansing is recommended, which simply means to cleanse twice.

Patch testing is always recommended.

I wish I had found this cleanser sooner!!

Warning - this is going to be a long review.

I will start off by telling my skin type; rosacea and re-occurring broken capillaries on both cheeks. I have this treated by laser twice a year however the skincare being used in between is incredibly important.

Now even though my rosacea has improved dramatically since my 2 rounds of laser, trial and error with skincare in between those sessions had caused the rosacea to flare fairly quickly (my rosacea is constant, 24/7). I can hand on heart say after the thousands I have spent on skincare in the last 4 years this has to be the BEST cleanser by far. This is the only cleanser I have ever used that has not made the rosacea more red after rinsing. It has a beautiful silky texture to smooth into the skin and then turns milky when rinsing. This doesn't leave a film on the skin which so many of this style of cleanser do. It soothes the redness if anything and my skin feels incredibly soft. If I have to double cleanse I will double cleanse with this.

It may sound incredibly dramatic but I got quite emotional after the first time I used this. Never has my redness looked the same after washing my face. Normally it is fire engine red and raised no matter what I used. I so wish I found this years ago.

Is the cleanser suitable for rosacea, eczema, or blemish-prone skin?

Yes, lots of our clients with skin conditions, sensitive skin, or compromised skin barriers find that The Cleanser respects the microbiome and leaves them feeling refreshed and ready to apply the rest of their skincare. Our naturally-derived surfactant was also tested on blemish-prone skin and didn't show any adverse reactions.

If your skin is very compromised, we do suggest patch testing.

Does The Cleanser remove make-up?

The Cleanser effectively removes most types of makeup. If you're wearing waterproof or long-wear makeup, consider starting an oil or balm cleanser or with micellar water to help remove stubborn makeup.

Why should I use a non-foaming cleanser?

Foaming cleansers can sometimes be harsh on the skin barrier, leaving the skin‘over-cleansed’. Although many people look for that squeaky clean feeling, it’s tell-tale sign that the skin barrier has been stripped of both the good and bad bacteria.

Using a gentle milky or lotion-type cleanser will help clean the skin of SPF, dirt, debris, and pollution, without unbalancing the microbiome.
